This term was coined on the North American Atlantic coast and should not be confused with the later Donald and Duck!
But what is Surf and Turf (Surf’nTurf) really? Goldfish in peat bed? We then quote Wikipedia: In Stern’s Encyclopedia of Bad Taste, Surf and Turf is portrayed as the epitome of culinary kitsch: “it is […] to maximize hedonistic extravagance”  by combining the two most expensive dishes of the menu; That is, the dish is ordered not for taste reasons, but for vulgar self-presentation. Anyway, do not underestimate the dangers that the common Surf’n Turf citizen is exposed to when he visits the “end product” on the pasture! Only a few snapshots reached the public!
Ad your two cents!
