Hello dear barbecue friends! Today I would like to introduce you to a vegan barbecue recipe that you can easily prepare on a charcoal grill. This is a delicious vegetable skewer with tofu and a spicy marinade. The recipe is not only healthy and animal-friendly, but also very flavorful and juicy. You only need a few ingredients and a little patience while grilling. Here are the instructions for four people:

Ingredients:

  • 400 g firm tofu
  • 2 zucchini
  • 2 peppers (red and yellow)
  • 1 large onion
  • 8 wooden skewers

For the marinade:

  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 cloves of garlic (pressed)
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. Cut the tofu into cubes of about 2 cm and place in a bowl.
  2. Mix the soy sauce, olive oil, maple syrup, garlic, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper in a small bowl and pour over the tofu. Mix everything well and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  3. Cut the zucchini, bell bell pepper, and onion into roughly equal pieces and place in another bowl.
  4. Soak the wooden skewers in water to prevent them from burning.
  5. Heat the grill and distribute the coals evenly.
  6. Thread the tofu and vegetables alternately onto the skewers and brush with a little marinade.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and grill on all sides until nicely browned, about 15 minutes. Brush frequently with the remaining marinade.
  8. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot.

Bon appetit!
