Hello dear barbecue friends! Today I would like to introduce you to a vegan barbecue recipe that you can easily prepare on a charcoal grill. This is a delicious vegetable skewer with tofu and a spicy marinade. The recipe is not only healthy and animal-friendly, but also very flavorful and juicy. You only need a few ingredients and a little patience while grilling. Here are the instructions for four people:
Ingredients:
- 400 g firm tofu
- 2 zucchini
- 2 peppers (red and yellow)
- 1 large onion
- 8 wooden skewers
For the marinade:
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 cloves of garlic (pressed)
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- Cut the tofu into cubes of about 2 cm and place in a bowl.
- Mix the soy sauce, olive oil, maple syrup, garlic, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper in a small bowl and pour over the tofu. Mix everything well and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- Cut the zucchini, bell bell pepper, and onion into roughly equal pieces and place in another bowl.
- Soak the wooden skewers in water to prevent them from burning.
- Heat the grill and distribute the coals evenly.
- Thread the tofu and vegetables alternately onto the skewers and brush with a little marinade.
- Place the skewers on the grill and grill on all sides until nicely browned, about 15 minutes. Brush frequently with the remaining marinade.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot.
Bon appetit!
